Background Information

Our office actually represents a PARTNERSHIP of two agencies:  The St. Joseph County SWCD and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).  

Our offices are co-located in the USDA Service Center of St. Joseph County at 2042 E. Ireland Road in South Bend, Indiana.

Earth Team Volunteer Program

The volunteers that work with the Partnership technically do so through the NRCS’s “Earth Team” Volunteer Program (http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/FEATURE/volunteers/vol/join.asp). 

The first step in becoming a volunteer with our office is to tell us more about what opportunities you are seeking, your availability, etc., which can be done by filling out the Volunteer Interest and Placement Summary which can be accessed online via the NRCS website at http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/feature/volunteers/vol/join.asp or give us a call and we'll send you a hard copy in the mail.
